Notes from March 2006 Meetings

Summary:
Tri-County Hospital is a leader in many telehealth applications, in partnership on some with the U of M hospitals.  They have pre- and post-op care and telepharmacy. 
Home health care and hospice care are two important applications. Maureen talked about the emergence of e-health initiatives at the state and national level.

There are lots of players in this arena: Stratus Health Care, the Office of Rural Health are both active.

To find the key entry points into the local health care industry in your community, look for these job titles: hospital administrator, IT Manager, Director of Patient Care, Medical Specialty Outreach, Home Health Care Manager, County Public Health and Pharmacy.
