Vital Forests/Vital Communities Initiative

Through our Vital Forests/Vital Communities initiative, we work in partnership with others to develop and implement strategies that promote the connection between a healthy forest-based economy, a healthy forest ecosystem and healthy communities.

Our work is guided by an Advisory Board and focuses on a set of objectives that fall within three focus areas: forested land base and resource, forest management and economic development. Periodic evaluation of the initiative helps us stay on track.
