Kathy Annette addresses WISC attendees

“Nothing is so strong as gentleness, nothing so gentle as real strength.” – Sitting Bull, Sioux warrior

Blandin Foundation president Kathy Annette shared this message with over 200 women leaders at the Women in Public Service Conference on November 15. Joining fellow panel members Becky Roloff, President of YWCA of Minneapolis, and Mayor Elizabeth Kautz of Burnsville, Kathy relayed a message of hope. Hope for community change. Hope for a shared vision of the future. Hope that today’s leaders have the courage to hope. Because when leaders have hope, they can accomplish amazing things.

In her speech, she emboldened the women leaders in attendance to search for hope in unlikely places and use it to strengthen the people and communities they serve.
