BRCLP Alumni: Leadership in Action Online Training – Mille Lacs Area

Event Details

March 18 - April 15, 2021

Join us for a new online training opportunity for Blandin Reservation Community Leadership Program Alumni from the Mille Lacs Area! BRCLP: Leadership in Action will provide you with an opportunity to engage with fellow alumni, review leadership skills from your retreat training and practice moving a vision into action.

The training will consist of three, two-hour sessions on the following dates:

  • Session I: Framing Hope – Thursday, March 18 from 10am-12pm
  • Session II: Analyzing Capacity – Thursday, April 1 from 10am-12pm
  • Session III: Leveraging Assets – Thursday, April 15 from 10am-12pm

You can register for this alumni learning opportunity by visiting the link we shared in our email invitation. We are currently sending out invitations to alumni from the Mille Lacs reservation.

If you are having trouble with the link, or didn’t receive an email, please contact Senja Morque at skmorque@blandinfoundation.org or (218) 327-8732 to have us send a new invitation.

Overview

The training will be led by Roxanne DeLille, a consultant who has trained many BRCLP alumni across the state for almost 15 years on behalf of the Foundation’s Leadership Programs. Roxanne will guide participants through a six-phase Leadership in Action process that will reinforce leadership skills and provide participants with a new action tool to add to their toolbox.

In addition to refreshing community leadership skills and practicing putting them into action, participants will also:

  • Cultivate a strength-based mindset
  • Broaden and deepen connections with fellow alumni
Format

The three, two-hour sessions will take place over Zoom. Once alumni have registered for the training session, we will invite all participants to join an online work space specifically designed for the training. This space will give participants a chance to interact before they meet, review materials for the training and ask any questions they have about getting comfortable with Zoom.

Expectations

We ask that all alumni who participate commit to attending all three sessions, engage in the online work space, and set aside time for reflection between sessions. The training will provide time for large and small group conversation, so technology with audio and video capability is needed for full participation.
